Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out the rules governing how the Wyra platform may be used. It applies to all users — direct subscribers, team members, and end customers accessing the platform through an authorised distributor or reseller. It is incorporated into and forms part of Wyra's Terms and Conditions (wyra.ai/terms).
Last updated: October 2025
1. General Principles
The Wyra platform is designed for lawful B2B sales outreach by professional users. You may use the platform only for purposes that are legal, ethical, and consistent with the platform's intended function. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by team members and any outreach executed by your AI SDRs.
The platform must not be used in any way that causes harm to individuals, organisations, third-party platforms, or Wyra's infrastructure or reputation. The rules in this AUP are not exhaustive — Wyra may take action against any conduct it reasonably determines to be harmful, even if not explicitly listed here.
Wyra reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate access to the platform without notice where a violation is confirmed or reasonably suspected. Violations may be reported to abuse@wyra.ai.
2. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is prohibited when using the Wyra platform.
Illegal and Fraudulent Activity
- Using the platform for any purpose that violates local, state, federal, or international law.
- Fraud, identity theft, money laundering, or financing of illegal activities.
- Impersonating any person or entity, misrepresenting your identity or affiliation, or falsifying the origin of communications.
- Accessing or attempting to access accounts, systems, or data that you are not authorised to access.
Spam, Harassment, and Abusive Outreach
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages or outreach that violates applicable anti-spam laws including CAN-SPAM (US), GDPR (EU/EEA), and CASL (Canada).
- Sending communications that are defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or abusive.
- Contacting individuals who have previously unsubscribed, opted out, or explicitly requested not to be contacted.
- Sending misleading subject lines, false sender identities, or deceptive call-to-actions.
- Misrepresenting AI-generated outreach content as personally authored human communication in a way that is intended to deceive the recipient.
Malicious Code and Infrastructure Attacks
- Introducing viruses, malware, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code into the platform or its infrastructure.
- Conducting or facilitating denial-of-service attacks, brute force attacks, or any other attack against Wyra's infrastructure or third-party systems.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the platform without Wyra's prior written authorisation.
- Attempting to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, rate-limiting, or access control features of the platform.
Intellectual Property Infringement
- Reproducing, distributing, or transmitting content that infringes any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property rights.
- Using the platform to facilitate or enable intellectual property infringement by others.
Privacy and Data Protection Violations
- Collecting, processing, or transmitting personal data without proper consent or lawful basis as required by applicable data protection law.
- Uploading prospect lists or contact data that has been obtained unlawfully, by scraping platforms in violation of their terms, or without a legitimate purpose for outreach.
- Processing special categories of personal data (health, financial, biometric, political, religious data) through the platform without Wyra's prior written authorisation.
- Using personal data obtained through the platform for any purpose other than the outreach campaign for which it was collected.
Platform Abuse and Resource Misuse
- Using automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the platform in a manner that exceeds normal usage patterns or circumvents usage limits.
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code or underlying AI models of the platform.
- Using the platform to build a competing product or service.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or making the platform available to any person who is not an Authorised User under your subscription.
- Sharing account credentials with individuals who are not Authorised Users.
3. Outreach-Specific Rules
Because the Wyra platform executes autonomous outreach on your behalf, you carry full responsibility for the outreach your account sends. The following rules apply specifically to platform-executed outreach.
Email Outreach
- All emails sent through the platform must comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and all other applicable electronic communications laws in the recipient's jurisdiction.
- Every email sequence must include a valid physical address and a functioning unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests must be honoured within 10 business days.
- You must have a lawful basis for contacting each prospect. For EU/EEA recipients, this means either legitimate interests (properly assessed) or explicit consent.
- You may not use the platform to send to purchased email lists unless you can demonstrate a lawful basis for contacting each recipient.
LinkedIn Outreach
- LinkedIn outreach executed through the platform must comply with LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies.
- You acknowledge that LinkedIn actively monitors for automated activity. Wyra implements safeguards including throttled connection request rates and randomised timing, but cannot guarantee that LinkedIn will not restrict or suspend your account. Account restrictions imposed by LinkedIn are your responsibility.
- You must not instruct the platform to send LinkedIn messages that would violate LinkedIn's messaging policies, including unsolicited commercial messages to people with whom you have no prior relationship beyond a connection request.
Calling Outreach
- Calling outreach executed through the platform must comply with all applicable telemarketing and do-not-call regulations in the recipient's jurisdiction, including the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule, and equivalent laws.
- You must not use the platform to call individuals who are registered on applicable do-not-call lists unless a specific exemption applies and you can document it.
- You must not use the platform to make calls using pre-recorded messages without the prior express written consent of the recipient where required by law.
Prospect Data
- All prospect lists uploaded to or generated through the platform must consist of business professionals contacted for legitimate B2B commercial purposes.
- You represent and warrant that all prospect data you provide has been lawfully obtained and that you have a legitimate purpose and lawful basis for the intended outreach.
- The platform must not be used to contact consumers (B2C outreach) unless you have confirmed that applicable consumer protection and marketing laws permit such outreach and you have the required consent.
4. Prohibited Industries and Use Cases
The platform may not be used to support or promote:
- Illegal gambling or unlicensed games of chance.
- Unlicensed financial services, including cryptocurrency promotions, payday loans, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing.
- Adult or sexually explicit content of any kind.
- Political campaigns, political advertising, or lobbying activities, without Wyra's prior written approval.
- Healthcare services involving protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA or equivalent regulations, without Wyra's prior written authorisation and execution of a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.
- The sale or promotion of weapons, controlled substances, or any product or service that is illegal in the target jurisdiction.
- Any activity that Wyra reasonably determines to be harmful, deceptive, or contrary to public policy, regardless of whether it is explicitly listed above.
5. Your Compliance Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform complies with all applicable laws and regulations in every jurisdiction in which you operate or contact prospects. Wyra does not provide legal advice and makes no representation that use of the platform ensures legal compliance with the laws of any particular jurisdiction.
You are specifically responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate records of consent and lawful basis for all outreach conducted through the platform.
- Configuring the platform's unsubscribe settings correctly and ensuring all unsubscribe requests are processed promptly.
- Ensuring that your AI SDR profiles — including the name, title, and identity used for outreach — do not misrepresent the sender's identity in a way that would mislead or deceive recipients.
- Reviewing and approving outreach content and campaign settings before activation.
- Monitoring campaign performance and pausing campaigns that generate complaint rates, bounce rates, or unsubscribe rates that indicate a compliance issue.
6. Enforcement
Wyra reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. In investigating a suspected violation, Wyra may review account activity, campaign content, outreach communications, and prospect data associated with the account.
Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, Wyra may take any of the following actions without prior notice:
- Issue a warning and require corrective action within a specified timeframe.
- Suspend or restrict access to specific platform features.
- Pause active campaigns pending investigation.
- Suspend the account entirely pending resolution.
- Terminate the account and all associated subscriptions.
- Report unlawful activity to relevant regulatory authorities, law enforcement, or third-party platforms including LinkedIn.
Wyra's decision to take or not take any enforcement action does not constitute a waiver of any right or remedy available to Wyra. Account termination for AUP violation does not entitle the customer to any refund of Subscription Fees paid.
Suspected violations may be reported to abuse@wyra.ai. Reports should include a description of the suspected violation, the account or campaign involved (if known), and any supporting evidence.
7. Changes to This Policy
Wyra may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, platform capabilities, or industry standards. Material changes will be notified via email or in-platform notification with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect. The current version is always available at wyra.ai/aup. Continued use of the platform after an updated AUP takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
